Description
What makes this guitar special: These early USA-made ML’s are very hard to come by these days, and almost never seen in this kind of condition. This piece is really clean for its age, and sports only a few nicks and dings, far less than you’d expect given the genre they’re so inexorably tied to. It’s absolutely chock full of beefy, unapologetic tone, with a classic, heavy metal look. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with a handful of scratches, dents, nicks, dings, and scuffs throughout, as well some surface cracking at the bottom of the “V” on the headstock. There are a couple of deeper scratches on the back of the neck on the treble side behind the tenth fret, some scuffing in the finish behind the third fret, and some very light “hanger rash” on the underside of the headstock.
Body: Solid three-point mahogany body with Tune-O-Matic style bridge and string-through V tailpiece.
Weight: 7 lb, 10.8 oz
Neck: Full C shaped mahogany neck with a very slight trend toward a soft V. A truly superb and comfortable neck carve. Double bound rosewood fingerboard with black side dots and pearl dot inlays. Frets show very little wear and have a ton of life left in them. Black headstock overlay with white Dean logo and Schaller tuners, in perfect functioning condition.
Electronics: Dual active DiMarzio humbuckers, with 3-way pickup selector switch and gold speed knobs, 2x volume, 1x tone.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
