Description
What makes this guitar special: An early version of the 325V63 made in 1985, it's second year of production. This was the model Rickenbacker gave to John Lennon when he "retired" his road-weary '58 325. Featuring a short scale with three "toaster top" single coils & Accent vibrato, this gorgeous reissue features all the style & charm of the '60s original. A really lovely piece that actually plays rather well & sounds wonderful. Professionally set up by our own luthier, so it's ready for action straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with signs of typical play wear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild finish checking. Overall the guitar has a great, well-played look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Vintage-style Rickenbacker truss rod cover. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 21" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with Accent vibrato tailpiece & six-saddle adjustable bridge. Split-level white plexi pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 2.6 oz.
Electronics: Three vintage-style "toaster top" single coils. Dual volume & tone controls with boost/blend knob. 3-way toggle switch & mono output. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The previous owner added a little lion's head door knocker to the lid of the case compartment.
