Description
Cosmetic Condition: A rare archtop with a cool vintage vibe! Carvin started making acoustics in the 50's, many of them without serial numbers, so it's a bit difficult to narrow down the year on this one. There are several top cracks, most of which have been repaired. Although there is still one down the center that has not been repaired yet. There is a deep scratch across the back of the neck, just below the headstock, that looks like a crack in photos, but definitely is not. There are various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild finish checking. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina. It has been professionally set up by us with a fresh set of strings & low action. The sound is bright, punchy & really jumps!

Carvin headstock decal shows some minor wear. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well. There's an after-market strap button in the neck heel.
Body: Single-cutaway, archtop with 4-ply top binding. Solid spruce top with dual F-holes. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge. Single-ply, cream pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Maple back & sides with arched back & single-ply binding. There's some light flame figuring in the back. 17 1/4" lower bout width; 12 1/4" upper bout width; 3 3/4" depth.
