Description
What makes this guitar special: Outside of being the most popular 12-string electric guitar for good reason, this model was built to George Harrison’s original specs, making it not only a killer reproduction, but a collectors’ item to boot. The Toaster Top pickups and 12-string configuration are an absolute dynamite combination of elements that produces exceptional tone rich with vintage vibe and classic single-coil jangle. The parallel mono “Rick-o-sound” outputs allow players to choose between a standard single output, or split each pickup to its own individual output, opening the door to not only a myriad of tonal options, but also the opportunity to take full advantage of stereo pedals, as well as individualizing each pickup’s respective effects chain. The slimmer nut width makes playing effortless in comparison to many other 12-strings and yet the neck profile still provides ample space to execute a variety of styles. To top it all off, this super clean Ric features double binding and a Fireglo finish that perfectly harkens back to the days when it first found serious recognition in the hands of one of rock and roll’s most respected players.
Cosmetic condition: Excellent condition! Very minimal playwear scratching on the pickguard, and extremely small surface scratches visible only under particular lighting. There is some minor finish cracking behind the neck joint but it is hardly noticeable (see photos). The neck is in amazing shape, and the frets show no visible signs of wear.
Body: Double-bound semi-hollow body with maple top, back, and sides in Fireglo finish. 6-way split saddle bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Split-level white pickguard. Vintage-style black control knobs with white indicators.
