The pickups are custom wound to Eric’s specs and offer the best of 50’s tone with modern reliability and performance. The woods the guitar is made from are very carefully selected. You’ll immediately see the straight grain in the quarter sawn neck- this one in particular even has a nice bit of figuring in it on the back of the headstock. Cosmetic Condition: There are a few small dings in the body, light finish checking in the lacquer, and on the base of the guitar near the strap pin there is an area that was worn by a strap hot strap likely left in a car (see photos.) However, the guitar does look very good overall and plays fantastically.
Neck: One piece quarter sawn soft “V” profile maple. Black dot inlays, black side dot markers, and a single string tree. The vintage style tuners are in perfect working order and the 21 frets are in very good condition and have tons of life left in them. 1.659” nut width, 25.5” scale length. The neck is straight and the truss rod has been evaluated and is functioning correctly.
Body: 2 piece select alder. Single ply white pickguard, vintage style tremolo, and per Eric Johnson’s preference- no rear tremolo cavity cover is included nor are there holes for mounting one drilled. Guitar weighs 7lbs 7.5oz.
Electronics: Custom wound Eric Johnson single coil pickups measure 5.88K ohms in the neck, 6.25K ohms in the middle, and 6.68K ohms in the bridge position. Master Volume, dual tone controls, and a 5 way pickup selector switch. All electronics have been tested and are in perfect working order.
