Catalinbread's Topanga Burnside is an ode to the lush, beachy tones of surf rock and skate punk, featuring all the same mojo of the original Topanga but with an added Tremolo for further versatility.
Drawing inspiration from the distinctive sounds of the '60s Fender 6G15 spring reverb unit, the Topanga Burnside has a rich, vintage character. Just like on the 6G15, the Topanga Burnside's Dwell knob controls the intensity of the reverb effect and can be used to create anything from subtle echoes to walls of cavernous reverb. Players can then use the Mix knob to blend in the reverb to their liking, from 100% dry to 100% wet. From there, the Tone control changes the signal's brightness, from bright and glassy to thick and soupy, and the Volume knob sets the pedal's overall output with lots of 'oomph' on tap. Finally, the Trem knob controls the rate of the tremolo effect, churning out anything from smooth, mellow ripples to aggressive, choppy waves.
