Description

The Esquire was the first solid-body electric guitar Fender offered for sale. Making its debut in 1950, the Esquire was a precursor to the Telecaster with its single-cut body, three-saddle bridge, and a thick "U" shaped neck. Now, this 70th Anniversary edition of the Esquire pays homage to the original in a multitude of ways. Start with its roasted pine body, which gives the Esquire a lightweight, yet resonant in-hand feel. The Tim Shaw-designed Esquire bridge pickup was inspired by an original 1950 Esquire, and does a fantastic job at faithfully recreating that early '50s Fender tone. This Esquire also comes with a special anniversary neck plate, a tweed hardshell case, and a Surf Green finish. With production limited to 2020, you won't want to miss out on your opportunity to score this piece of Fender history!
