The Custom Shop Postmodern Stratocaster is an exciting blend of vintage and modern, making it the perfect guitar for Fender fans who love the look and feel of a classic Strat but need something a little more 'advanced.'
Starting with a two-piece select alder body, this axe delivers a spanky tone with tight lows, punchy upper mids, and a clear, trebly bite. Its Journeyman Relic Aged Black finish gives it the look of a well-loved vintage guitar, complete with nicks, dings, and finish checking. Players will love its rift-sawn '60s-style oval "C" shaped maple neck, which feels great for playing everything from chunky rhythm riffs to lightning-quick solos. And, thanks to its silky smooth round-lam rosewood fingerboard and 21 jumbo frets, performing deep vibrato and massive bends on this Strat is much easier.
A trio of Dual-Mag II pickups give this Strat a well-balanced tone with chiming highs and rich lows. If you aren't a fan of 60-cycle hum, don't worry - the middle pickup is RWRP for noiseless operation in positions 2 and 4. Complete with a 1/2 Blender with Greasebucket II wiring (which features a .05uF capacitor for a late' 60s-style tonal sweep and less gain loss when attenuated), this Stratocaster sounds unbelievable.
Fully spec'd out with a four-ply brown tortoiseshell pickguard, a Custom Shop Vintage synchronized tremolo, and vintage-style tuning machines, this Postmodern Stratocaster is great for players looking to buy a premium Strat with a bright, chiming voice.
