Sporting an alder body and a maple neck, this guitar features one of Fender's favorite tonewood pairings. The alder body supplies this guitar with a rich, sustaining tone, while the maple neck adds snappiness and articulation to your playing, making it excellent for shredding solos or riffing away on rhythm lines.
Not only was this Tele built to sound great, but it was meticulously crafted to offer prime playability. Courtesy of its comfortable and classic '60s C neck profile and 9.5" radius maple fingerboard, the neck on this guitar has an excellent in-hand feel. And, with a deep body cutaway, you'll be able to reach all 21 frets with ease.
The real powerhouse behind this guitar, though, is the surprisingly versatile MP-90 single coil pickup in the bridge position. This pickup pumps out all the clarity and chime you'd expect from a single coil pickup, making it excellent for bringing out melodic, articulate playing when dialed back a bit. Push it to the limit, though, and you'll be met with a snarling tone, complete with thick mids and growling highs. Whether you play aggressive punk or mind-bending fusion, this Tele is more than capable of meeting your needs.
