Cream City Music has been the area's premier Hofner dealer for many years & we are now proud to present this absolutely gorgeous '61 Vintage Reissue that was given an "aged" treatment by the luthiers in Germany. This ultra cool "relic" gives the appearance of a bass that has been well-played over the years in clubs & theaters, but in actuality is a brand new instrument. Just arrived from Germany, professionally set up & ready to play! Deluxe tweed case included along with COA & accessories.
Handmade in Germany: A special Vintage Violin Bass created by Hofner's master in the violin lacquer dept. Beautifully aged to look authentically vintage, but with the advantage of a brand new bass. Very special and secret varnishes are used to achieve the remarkable aged finish. The 61-RLC is inspired by the bass made in 1961 for Paul McCartney and features an unbound 3 piece neck and single tuners. Each bass is a unique instrument; no two are exactly alike as the ageing process is all done by hand. All models are supplied with a pearloid pickguard (not mounted) and include a Höfner Vintage strap and case.
