However, this isn't your average Sitka Spruce top - this one has been torrefied through Martin's revolutionary VintageTone System (VTS), giving it a lively, broken-in sound that works very well with the Cocobolo back and sides. Speaking of which, the Cocobolo in this guitar is gorgeously figured, and along with a Style 45 rosette, European Flamed Maple heelcap, and Style 28, creates a unique look that has just the right amount of flash. Playability-wise, this Martin's neck is made of genuine mahogany with a Modified Low Oval shape and Performing Artist Taper for a comfortable playing experience up and down the 16" radius Black Ebony fingerboard.
