This rare, limited edition Jimmy Buffet Shellback is number 14 of only 168 made & features all solid mahogany construction with some really unique & gorgeous appointments. The gold porthole with abalone & palm tree inlay in the headstock is especially cool. Additional features include an inlaid ship's wheel in the fifth fret & rope purfling in the top. The guitar is very clean & has been professionally set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition - very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Mahogany neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. Abalone Jimmy Buffet signature in the 20th fret & ship's wheel in the 5th fret. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Ebony headstock veneer with inlaid gold porthole & abalone/turquoise palm tree motif. Martin open-back tuners in perfect working condition. 1 13/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: OOO size body with solid mahogany top, back & sides. Tortoise top & back binding with "rope" purfling in the top. Ebony bridge with tortoise pickguard & abalone rosette. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 2.5 oz.
Case: Deluxe hardshell case included along with original paperwork.
