These don't come around very often, but when they do, they tend not to last long in the shop, especially one as clean as this! The Brazilian rosewood used for the back & sides is absolutely stunning & a truly marvelous representation of the magic of that species. The abalone appointments, including the intricate fingerboard inlay is nothing short of mind boggling. All in all, the artistry & craftsmanship that went into creating this wonderful Grand Auditorium is undeniably magnificent. Fully inspected & professionally set up so it's ready to play or simply admire straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Exceptionally clean - looks like it was made this morning!
Neck: Mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone & mother of pearl vine inlay. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay & abalone floral inlay. Gold Schaller tuners with ebonoid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Grand Auditorium size body. Solid Sitka spruce top with ivoroid binding & abalone purfling. Ebony bridge with abalone inlay & compensated saddle. No pickguard & abalone rosette. Solid Brazilian rosewood back & sides with ivoroid binding & abalone purfling. The Brazilian shows of gorgeous variegation throughout with wonderful chocolate & caramel tones. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 12.6 oz.
