Description

What Makes This Guitar Special: For very good reasons the American Stratocaster hasn’t changed a whole lot since Leo Fender first put it together. The Eric Clapton signature model, however, has some very choice upgrades over its classic styled counterparts. With Lace Sensor pickups featuring a 15db boost, your leads will soar like never before. A soft V profile neck fits the hand perfectly and gives you leverage to bend notes easily. Arriving with a pro set-up from the experts at Cream City Music, you’ll be able to enjoy your new Blackie right out of the box.

Cosmetic Condition: Various surface scratches, dents, dings, and honest play-wear around the body and neck. The fingerboard is worn through the finish down the length of both the treble and bass side outer edges (see photos), and the pickguard is lifting a bit around its edges. The Lace Sensor logos are largely worn off the pickup covers, also. The guitar sets-up and plays very well and is in good shape overall for a 29 year old instrument.

Neck: Soft “V” profile one piece maple. Black dot inlays and black side dot markers. The 22 frets show wear but play well and have a good amount of life left in them. Fender vintage style tuners work perfectly and the guitar has a single string tree. 1.650” nut width, 25.5” scale length. The neck is straight and the truss rod has been tested and is working correctly.

Body: Solid contoured alder. Single ply white pickguard and rear control cavity cover, chrome tremolo bridge. Guitar weighs 7lbs 15.9oz.

Electronics: Lace Sensor Gold pickups measure 5.77K ohms at the neck, 5.68K ohms in the middle position, and 5.68K ohms at the bridge. This guitar features a 9V battery powered 15db boost preamp accessed by the center tone knob. This feature is simply turned on or off by rolling the knob and the guitar can be used without the boost. Volume and dual tone controls, 5 way pickup selector switch. All electronics have been tested and are in perfect working order.

Case: Tweed hardshell case included.
