What makes this guitar special: The Mustang is one of the most renowned short-scale electric guitars, and Fender's all-new American Performer Mustang continues their tradition of excellence. Its 24" scale length, new set of pickups, and cool new Penny finish give it authentic Fender aura. Its new Yosemite single-coil pickups have flat-staggered pole pieces, with shellac coating, resulting in tone that’s versatile enough for any musical endeavor while reducing feedback. These are excellent pickups that provide an extra layer of tonal versatility, and you'll only find them in the American Performers. Plus, the Greasebucket tone circuitry makes it easy to contour your high-end without affecting other frequencies. The American Performer Mustang also features a modern "C" shaped neck, 22 jumbo frets, and a 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard, which all contribute to the guitar's remarkable playability and rock-solid in-hand feel. Made in Corona, California, the American Performer Mustang is a remarkable instrument with wide-ranging tone and the unmatched playability you've come to expect from an authentic, USA-made Fender.
