This is the uniquely Gretsch model G5135 Electromatic CVT "Corvette". 1st designed in 1961 (with several early revisions), this Electromatic Corvette shares essentially the same design as its 1960s ancestors, but with a few modern improvements. The G5135 is a thin, lightweight solid body electric with great balance and a very ergonomic design. The sound is wide open with plenty of sustain and punch. The Corvette makes a great rock guitar but is suited to play many styles of music. This versatility is achieved through their Mega'Tron pickups, which deliver everything from clean crunch to high-gain punch. These are great guitars that certainly have that Great Gretsch Sound!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent overall condition. This guitar has a few minor surface scratches, but these are miniscule. Plus, this Corvette comes with fresh strings and low action, courtesy of Cream City Music's signature setup.
Neck: Mahogany set-neck with rosewood fingerboard, 1 11/16" nut width, and 24.6" scale length.

Why We Love Gretsch
Gretsch has been handcrafting guitars for over 135 years. The unique sound of the Gretsch semi-hollow body guitar has become synonymous with rockabilly music, one of the first styles of rock ‘n roll. Gretsch guitars are a favorite among musicians like Chet Atkins, Brian Setzer and George Harrison. At Cream City Music, we love Gretsch too, which is why we always have a huge selection of new, used and vintage Gretsch guitars in stock.
