What makes this guitar special: The G5622T keeps with the tradition of the Electromatic series offering a great playing and sharp looking guitar with killer tone and an affordable price. Gretsch has had just a few semi-hollow models in the past but the new "center block" series is their best effort yet, and this used one is no different. These are simply phenomenal guitars with classic Gretsch vibes and tone but the addition of a "center-block" of spruce adds sustain and feedback rejection. The quality, fit, and finish are outstanding with great fretwork and professional level setup. The Super HiLo'Tron pickups offer the classic tones of the "Hilo'Tron" single coil but with increased output and noiseless operation.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent overall condition. This guitar has a few minor surface scratches, but these only show in direct light. Otherwise, the guitar is virtually spotless, plus, it includes the Cream City Music signature setup.
Neck: Maple neck with gloss finish and Standard "U" shape. Rosewood fingerboard with 12.6" radius, 22 Medium Jumbo frets, 1.6875" nut width, Pearloid Neo-Classic Thumbnail position inlays, and Graph Tech NuBone nut.
Body: Center-Block laminated maple body in Vintage Orange finish with Aged White binding, and 1.75" depth. Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Cream Plexi pickguard with gold Gretsch logo, and Bigsby tailpiece.
Electronics: 2x Super Hilo'Tron humbuckers with 3-position toggle switching. Master Volume, Master Tone, Neck Pickup Volume, and Bridge Pickup Volume.
Weight: 7 lbs. 10 oz.
Why We Love Gretsch
Gretsch has been handcrafting guitars for over 135 years. The unique sound of the Gretsch semi-hollow body guitar has become synonymous with rockabilly music, one of the first styles of rock ‘n roll. Gretsch guitars are a favorite among musicians like Chet Atkins, Brian Setzer and George Harrison. At Cream City Music, we love Gretsch too, which is why we always have a huge selection of new, used and vintage Gretsch guitars in stock.
