A rare, limited production model in excellent condition for its age. This gorgeous D-28GE is number 356 & features Brazilian rosewood for the back & sides. This superb guitar was just recently acquired from a private collection of nearly 40 rare & vintage Martin guitars, including tenors as well as mandolins, ukes & banjos. Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful condition overall with some mild play wear - various tiny nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & are in great shape overall. Nickel Waverly Butterbean tuners & diamond volute. 1.72" width bone nut; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Dreadnought body in natural finish. Solid Adirondak spruce top with ivoroid binding & Herringbone purfling. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony belly bridge with bone saddle. Cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. Brazilian rosewood back & sides with ivoroid binding & zigzag center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 8.4 oz.
