Fresh from the Maton Custom Shop in Australia is the W.A. May acoustic-electric. Designed as a tribute to Maton's Founder, Bill May, the W.A. May makes Maton's remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail readily apparent. Its 000 body shape provides plenty of tonal versatility and exceptional comfort. Its body is made of "AAA Select" Grade Fiddleback Blackwood, with a "AAA Select" Grade Solid Sitka Spruce top. These are the absolute highest-quality woods Maton could get their hands on, and the result is a downright amazing acoustic tone. The Sitka Spruce top has a snappy characteristic to counterbalance the low-end foundation laid by the Fiddleback Blackwood back and sides. Additionally, the back and sides of this guitar have absolutely stunning figuring that will immediately draw any player in with their gorgeous woodgrain. The W.A. May's Blackwood neck, 21-fret Ebony fingerboard, and "C" shaped neck ensure your fretting hand is comfortable as ever. Plus, the guitar's AP5-Pro pickup system combines a piezo and a soundhole pickup into one, with individual controls for each pickup's volume, as well as Bass, Treble, Mid, Volume, and Frequency controls, so you’re always in control of your tone, even when you’re playing through an amp. Cosmetic Condition: Excellent overall condition. This guitar has hardly been played - it only shows a few minor surface scratches on the body in direct light. Plus, it comes with fresh strings and low action, courtesy of Cream City Music's signature setup.
Neck: Blackwood neck with Ebony fingerboard, 21 Dunlop 6260 frets, 12" radius, and 1.736" nut width.
Body: Traditional/000 shaped body made of "AAA Select" Grade Fiddleback Blackwood back/sides and a "AAA Select" Grade Solid Sitka Spruce top.
Electronics: AP5 Pro soundhole pickup with side-mounted Bass, Treble, Mid, Volume, and Frequency controls.
