Description
A bad ass beast finished in a slick black custom color. Superb feel & dynamite tone! The neck is silky smooth & shows off some gorgeous bird's eye figuring. Swap out the black pickguard for a mirror & you've got Phil Lynott's P-Bass! Pro set up included & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the bass looks super cool, with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with gorgeous bird's eye figuring & black dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. Open-gear nickel tuners in good working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Truss rod is maxed out, but the neck is pretty straight with only a mild hump beyond the 12th fret. All in all it plays quite well up & down the fretboard.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in black. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks, however, there is a small filled hole down by the input jack. Strap buttons are unoriginal & the bass weighs 10.95 lbs.
Electronics: Newer Fender split single coil - 11.24K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Both pots date to '76 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Fender plastic injection mold case. One of the back hinges is missing as well as one of the front clasps, but the case functions well for the most part.
