Description

What makes this guitar special: A perfect player grade example of what makes these ‘30s archtops great. A super comfortable V neck compounded with a narrow waisted body makes for hours of effortless playing. And while it has a few scars, it sounds every bit as great as you’d expect, with a wide array of tones offered depending on your style. It handles fingerstyle marvelously, with a warm and thumping low end, a delicate midrange and a perfect smattering of high end to round out the sound. Strummed, it holds up just as well, with a nicely balanced tone that is truly sweet to the ears. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.

Cosmetic condition: This one has been well-loved, and shows some typical wear throughout, along with some scars. There are a handful of repaired cracks on the body, most notably along the center of the top, and the entire guitar has been oversprayed in a clear coat, presumably at the same time as those repairs. There is a single section of binding missing near the rear strap button, and a few chips in the wood, most notably on the back of the neck behind the 4th fret. There are various other scratches, dents, nicks, dings, chips, and scuffs, but nothing that hinders playability. The top of the headstock shows a finish touchup, most likely from an age-old chip, and the underside of the headstock shows some hanger rash as well. Despite the cosmetics, this one plays great and has no structural issues whatsoever.
