Description
What makes this guitar special: A beautiful war-era Gibson soaked in mojo and absolutely dripping with vintage aesthetic. This one is as vibey as they come, with all kinds of good, honest wear, and a lifetime of stories to tell. The finish checking on this piece is sublime, and richly layered across the entire guitar. The chunky mahogany neck is extremely comfortable, and will have you strumming for hours. Professionally inspected and setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this beauty will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great condition for its age, with expected playwear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs throughout, with a handful of large cracks in the finish, and one repaired crack extending down from the treble side f-hole. A hole was drilled in the bottom of the guitar for a strap button (included in the case), and the pickguard is missing. There is visible weather checking throughout the entire guitar, visible pickwear on the front of the guitar, and finish wear on the back of the neck (primarily behind the first position). Original frets show some wear, but still have a ton of life left in them. Overall, this one has an awesome look to it, with a beautiful vintage patina.
Body: Hollow bodied archtop in sunburst finish with dual f-holes. Maple back and sides. Solid spruce top. Nickel trapeze tailpiece and compensated rosewood bridge with rosewood base.
Weight: 4 lb, 10.7 oz
Neck: Chunky, full profile mahogany neck with black side dots and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson logo. Original open gear tuners function perfectly. 1 3/4" nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and original frets show less wear than expected, with a great deal of life left in them. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
