Description
Cosmetic Condition: Gorgeous vintage vibe with that sought-after, well-played look. These small-body, all mahogany Martins are really hot right now & this one's a real gem. The guitar shows various nicks, chips, dents & dings; multiple scratches & finish wear from years & years of play. There is very tiny crack in the top between the neck & soundhole, treble side near the pickguard. It's barely noticeable & really a non-issue in terms of sound & playability. The neck appears to have been reset & the fingerboard refretted, but these only add to the ease of playing & the future years of enjoyment the new owner will get out of this lovely piece. The guitar has been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & the action is low, so it sounds amazing - a well-balanced, warm, rich tone.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard & small dot inlays. There is some very light pitting in the first few frets of the fingerboard, but these are not noticeable while playing. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original open-back tuners with newer cream buttons in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25" scale length.
Body: Solid mahogany top, back & sides with rosewood bridge. String height at the 12th fret is about 1/8". Original tortoise pickguard has shrunk slightly & is peeling up just a little bit along the treble edge. 14 1/2" lower bout; 11" upper bout width; 4" depth. Guitar only weighs 3 1/2 lbs, but delivers tons of tone!
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
