Description
What makes this guitar special: An amazing player's grade ES-175D with dynamite tone & superb playability. The guitar has a gorgeous, natural acoustic tone to it that resonates exceptionally well. The electronics & hardware are all after-market, but the repro PAFs sound fantastic & really compliment the guitar well. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's guaranteed to play great upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with typical mild play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some light finish wear. Overall the guitar has a marvelous, cool vintage look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, medium-profile mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Unoriginal repro tuners intentionally "aged" to look vintage. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Unoriginal Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Gibson ABR-1 bridge & nickel hardware. 5-ply black pickguard; guitar weighs 6 lbs 11.8 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal PAF repro humbuckers with nickel covers. Bridge - 8.36K ohms; Neck - 7.59K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Vintage Gretsch tweed hardshell case included. Some of the tweed tolex has worn off the case, but for the most part it's in great shape & the guitar fits quite nicely inside.
