Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage player with some modifications, namely the bridge. The original adjustable saddle was removed & replaced with a simple compensated saddle. The rout around the saddle was filled with a piece of rosewood. There's a filled hole in the treble side of the body where a previous input jack used to be. The guitar is currently fitted with an active, under-saddle pickup. The top of the body has been refinished, but the rest of the guitar is original. There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. Overall the guitar has that well-played, vintage look & offers a sweet, rich tone.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise dots. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought body with multiple binding. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Rosewood bridge with tortoise pattern pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Mahogany back & sides. No cracks in the body.
Pickup: After-market, under-saddle pickup with no controls, powered by a single 9-volt battery.
Playability / Sound: Nice action - neck plays well & is comfortable. Warm, rich tone with nice resonance.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
