Description
Cosmetic Condition: We recently acquired this beautiful all original bass from the second owner who had it in his possession since 1967. He took excellent care of the bass & it's in great shape for its age - very clean. There are various minor nicks & dings along with some surface scratches & mild finish checking. The cherry finish is very strong & the bass has a warm, woody tone. Tons of fun to play!
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-gear tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss works fine.
Body: SG-style, solid mahogany body with 3-ply black pickguard & wooden finger rest. The pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Top-loading bridge with mute assembly in good working condition. The mute pad is included, but not currently fitted onto the assembly. Chrome hardware. Bass weighs 6 lbs 14.5 oz.
Pickup: Neck humbucker with good, strong output. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Both pots date to '65. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original chipboard case included.
