Description
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There's some really nice variegation in finish & overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with maple cap fingerboard & black dot inlays. The back of the neck has lots of stunning bird's eye figuring. The fingerboard is checked quite a bit, but that only adds to its vintage charm. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Fender Telecaster headstock decal is very clear & in great shape. Original F-logo tuners in perfect working condition. Truss rod has been tested & is in good working condition. Neck date is 3 NOV 67 B. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Solid alder body finished in Olympic White that has aged into a soft yellow. 3-ply white pickguard has turned into more of a cream color & there are no cracks in the guard. Original Fender-logo Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. The guitar weighs 7lbs 10.5oz.
Pickups: Original Fender Tele single coils. The bridge pickup had broken coils & was just recently rewound by Tom Brantley. Neck - 6.88K ohms; Bridge - 6.41K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with 3-way selector switch. Pots date to '66. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Playability / Sound: Professionally set up by our tech with a fresh set of .10-.46 gauge strings. Nice low action - neck plays & feels great! The guitar has that signature Tele spank & growl.
Case: Original hardshell case included - a little rough around the edges, but serves its purpose well.
