Description

A true player's grade Nashville sporting some gorgeous figuring in the maple - namely the back of the neck & headstock overlay. An authentic, vintage Chet Atkins that's very affordable with still plenty of years ahead of it.

Cosmetic Condition: Authentic vintage look that really shows its age. The binding shows a lot of deterioration, with many portions of it missing from the body & lots of crackling along the neck. Portions of the pickguard broke to the point where it can no longer be attached to the body, but is included. The rest of the guitar shows various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has kind of a cool look to it with a nice patina.

Neck: Semi-chunky profile maple neck with lots of gorgeous quilted figuring. The neck binding is still present, but heavily aged & cracked with red side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with flame maple overlay. Grover Sta-Tite tuners in good working condition. The D & G tuners are slightly bent, but still function properly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.

Body: Double-cutaway, hollow maple body with simulated F-holes. As previously stated, a lot of the body binding is missing or deteriorated badly, including the heel cap.
Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Rocking Bar bridge in good working condition. The internal mute assembly is present & working, however, the mute pad that is supposed to pop up & down is missing. The back pad is in good condition with all the snaps present. Pickguard is broken & unattachable, but included. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 6.2 oz.

Electronics: Original FilterTron humbuckers with gold bezels. The gold has tarnished somewhat with the neck pickup & master volume control showing some "greening" effect, however, all electronics function properly. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup, tone & standby selector switches all in good working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
