Description
What makes this guitar special: All original with a groovy, true vintage vibe. The DeArmond humbuckers sound fantastic & deliver rich, dynamic tones. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Typical wear & tear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The body binding has shrunk a bit in the cutaway & waist sections. The headstock overlay has also shrunk a bit over the years & has come loose near the nut & top, but is still firmly attached to the headstock. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream bind & black side-dots. Beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Chesterfield & Guild headstock inlays. Open-back tuners are in perfect working condition. The G tuner has one extra small hole next to it. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Semi-hollow mahogany body with dual F-holes. 3-ply binding on the top & back. Guild trapeze tailpiece & adjustable bridge on a rosewood base. Unfortunately the pickguard is missing. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 4.8 oz.
Pickups: Original DeArmond humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.35K ohms; Neck - 6.46K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with original Guild knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage chipboard case included.
