Description

What’s special about this guitar: This is an awesome, vintage player’s grade Gibson SG with a killer neck and pickups! The pickups have a classic humbucker sound but with a very nice high end sparkle. It really makes them highly useable for both clean and dirty tones! The neck is particularly comfortable on this one. It has a nice, slender shape and is instantly comfortable. Players who prefer a more slender neck will really appreciate this one!

Condition: Very good shape overall! There are various surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar along with some heavy buckle rash worn through to the bare wood on the back. A small corner of the headstock was touched-up by hand due to a large chip and a coil switch was added. The coil switch is currently disconnected from the circuit. The guitar originally had a different tailpiece. The original screw holes were filled in and the stop-bar tailpiece was added. Blackface style control knobs were also added. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. The tuners are mismatched. One is a Gibson Deluxe, the others are Schaller Deluxe. As previously mentioned the added coil switch is currently disconnected; all electronics and parts are otherwise in perfect working condition.

Body: Solid mahogany body in natural finish. Stop-Bar tailpiece and Tune-O-Matic bridge. Blackface-style control knobs, mini toggle switch, 3-way selector switch and a 4-ply black pickguard.

Neck: Slender and super comfortable mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid trapezoid inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Five Schaller Deluxe tuners and one Gibson Deluxe tuner. 24.75” scale length.

Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.

Neck: 7.57K Ohms.

Bridge: 7.94K Ohms.

Weight: 6lbs, 10.0oz.

Case: Includes the original hardshell case.
