Description

Love this guitar? We bet you'll also love the Recording King Bakersfield American Acoustic with a FREE hard shell case - now available!

What makes this guitar special: 100% original & a very rare model indeed, made for only a short period of time in the late '60s/early '70s. This particular example dates to Fall of 1970 & still plays great! The unique red, white & blue finish is synonymous with Buck Owens & really makes the guitar stand out amongst other acoustics. Fairly simple construction with a sweet, rich tone. Pro set up included by the experts at Cream City Music so she's ready for action straight out of the case!

Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with some typical light play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some minor finish discoloration. The white portion of the finish has aged into more of a yellowish cream color, but that only adds to its true vintage charm & character. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a nice patina.

Neck: Round, chunky neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlay. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Sealed tuners with pearloid buttons in good working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.

Body: Double bound body with solid spruce top & laminate back & sides. Rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle & tortoise pickguard. Ladder braced & there is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 6.7 oz.

Case: Chipboard case included.
