Description
What makes this guitar special: Loaded with Patent No. pickups and aged to perfection, this ES-345TD in a prime example of early 70's Gibson semi-hollow bodies. Its tone is largely the highlight, as the Patent No. humbuckers have a ton of character and deliver equal amounts of warm body and great upper mid-range definition that have given them such a devout following. Aesthetically, it sports a nice patina that cements its place as a vintage gem, with the perfect yellowing of its binding that acts as a visual highlight that frames its Walnut-finished cuts of maple. Plus, for a guitar of its age, it’s still in great shape, includes its original hardshell case, and we’re including a pro setup so it retains maximum playability.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, especially for a 40+ year old guitar. It shows various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, hardware tarnish and wear, and other forms of light to mild playwear, but is still in fantastic condition for its age and still sounds, looks, and plays great. The frets show mild wear but are even and still have some life left in them, but of course the action is a bit lower due to that fact. The neck itself is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. It has been modified for a mono output.
Body: Double cutaway, double bound semi-hollow body with a maple back, sides, and an arched maple top in Walnut finish. Raised 4-ply black pickguard. Gold Tune-o-matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Black witch hat knobs with gold inserts. Gold hardware.
