What makes this bass special: Beautiful, early fretless P-Bass in original 3-tone sunburst finish. The bass plays exceptionally well & is quite resonant, with a rich, vibrant tone. The back of the neck show off some pretty birdseye figuring in the maple. Professionally set up by us with a fresh set of flatwound strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age & very well-cared for. There are a few small chips in the finish along with various minor nicks, dings & surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with some birdseye figuring in the back & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard plays great up & down the neck. The original tuners were replaced with same fitting Schallers. An extra string tree ring was added to the headstock. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles. Bridge cover is missing. Original 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. The finger rest is missing. Bass weighs a very comfortable 8 lbs 4.2 oz.
Pickup: Unoriginal replacement pickup. Not sure who the manufacturer is, but the pickup sounds fabulous with great output - 11.18K ohms. The pickup cover is missing. Master volume & tone controls with original knurled knobs along with original pots. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
