Description
What makes this guitar special: A nice player's grade Falcon with a cool vintage vibe. The guitar was refinished black & had a few modifications made, but everything was tastefully done. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so she's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good condition with some typical wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, finish wear & some tarnish on the gold hardware. The headstock overlay has some cracks & a large chunk broken off. It's also missing the square White Falcon plaque, and there's a screw hold in the middle where the plaque would normally be. The neck & body were refinished black quite some time ago. The two holes in the body for the mute levers have been filled & the mute system is missing. The tone switch was replaced with a tone knob instead. The pickguard is cracked around one of the screws, but was repaired & is stable. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Rounded maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black micro-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" & dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover Imperial tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Hollow maple body with gold sparkle binding & bound F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with wire arm. Space Control bridge with ebony base. Gold plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 0.9 oz.
Pickups: SuperTron neck humbucker & FilterTron bridge humbucker, both with gold bezels. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. Master tone knob & 3-way pickup toggle switch. 3-way standby switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
