Description

What makes this bass special:  100% original with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe.  This gorgeous bass was just recently acquired from the original owner who loved to play it.  Instantly comfortable with superb tone & resonance.  Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action.

Cosmetic Condition:  Well played with lots of road wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear.  The G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly.  Neck is straight & truss functions well.  The front of the headstock has darkened quite a bit, but there is no nicotine odor from the bass.  Overall it has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck:  Nicely rounded, slender profile maple neck with black binding & pearloid side-dots.  Maple fingerboard with black block inlays.  Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Fender, open-gear tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length.  Neck date is MAR 72.

Body:  Contoured, solid alder body finished in black.  Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles.  Bridge cover is missing.  3-ply, white pickguard has aged nicely into more of a cream color & is in great shape with no cracks or breaks.  Bass weighs 9 lbs 10.8 oz.

Pickups:  Original Jazz Bass single coils.  Bridge - 7.94K ohms; Neck - 6.63K ohms.  Dual volume & master tone controls.  Original wiring & pots date to '72.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
