Description
What makes this guitar special: A fantastic piece recently acquired from the original owner and in great shape for its age. This pots, pickups, and serial number on this beauty date to ’70, and the neck dates to January of ’72, placing this one very close to the golden era. It plays and sounds fantastic, with a smooth rounded neck profile and impeccable resonance. And weighing in at right around 9 lbs, it’s perfect for long nights of playing. As always, professionally setup and inspected by the experts at Cream City Music, ready to play out of the case!
Cosmetic condition: Terrific overall shape, with some typical wear & tear throughout, consistent with usage. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, along with some buckle rash on the back. The top shows a smattering of small dings and chips in the finish, and some finish wear on the upper bout where the arm rests. One of the intonation screws for the bridge is unoriginal, as it one of the potentiometers. Overall, this one has a fantastic look to it, with a gorgeous patina.
Body: Contoured double cutaway solid alder body in sunburst finish with multi-ply tortoise pickguard and two-screw tugbar. Top-loading 4-saddle bridge with original bridge cover. Original pickup cover is not included.
Weight: 9 lb, 2.5 oz

Rosewood fingerboard is in phenomenal shape, and frets show only light wear with a ton of life left. 1 5/8” nut width, 34” scale length. Black headstock logo. Open gear tuners work as they should. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional. Neck dates to January of ’72.

Case: Original hard shell case included. The Fender logo has chipped away with time, but the case is in otherwise great shape for its age.
