Description
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for a 40 + year old guitar & aside from the tuners this beauty is all original. There are various minor nicks, dents & dings along with mild surface scratches. In other words, the guitar is quite clean for its age. It has been professionally set up by us with a fresh set of .10-.46 gauge strings & low action, so it plays great!
Neck: Somewhat flat, wide profile mahogany neck with nicely aged ivoroid binding & red micro dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid "thumbnail" inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. The original tuners were replaced with Schaller black & chrome which are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, chambered mahogany body with maple top finished in black & 3-ply binding. "G" cutout tailpiece with adjustable bridge on a floating ebony base; chrome hardware. Thick, silver plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11 oz.
Pickups: Gretsch SuperTron humbuckers with chrome bezels. Bridge - 4.18K ohms; Neck - 4.42K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with master volume - chrome "G" Arrow knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
