Description
What makes this bass special: An excellent player's grade P-Bass with marvelous tone & feel. The bass was refinished in a brighter, more cherry sunburst & is currently fitted with a DiMarzio replacement pickup. Professionally set up & ready for action!
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age with some typical light play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some weather checking. A small piece of the pickguard has chipped off down by the input jack & there are a couple of extra screw holes in the body from a previous strap button on the bass-side horn & from a previous bridge cover. Overall the bass has a great look to it & sounds wonderful.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with black side-dots. Beautifully figured, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Fender-engraved nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in cherry sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable barrel saddles. Unoriginal, 3-ply white pickguard. There is no bridge cover or finger-rest. Bass weighs 8 lbs 13 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal DiMarzio PAF split single coil. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. One pot dates to '73 & the other appears to be from '78. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
