Description
What makes this guitar special: An awesome player’s grade piece with some tasteful mods & upgrades. For a ‘70s Tele, this beauty is remarkably light & resonant, with a plethora of useful onboard sounds thanks to the Seth Lover designed Wide Range humbucker in tandem with the Seymour Duncan hot rails pickup. The neck has been refretted with jumbo frets for optimum playability. This thing is absolutely killer, and everything a vintage Tele should be. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, it’ll come ready to play right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: This one shows plenty of wear consistent with age with various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, along with areas of finish wear and finish checking throughout. The neck has been refretted, and the bridge pickup is unoriginal. There were different tuners on the guitar at one time, for which holes were drilled. Overall, this one has a super cool player’s vibe to it, with a beautiful patina.
Body: Single cutaway solid ash body in natural finish. 3-ply black pickguard and string through bridge with triple barrel saddles. Original ash tray bridge cover is not included.
Weight: 8 lb, 1.7 oz
Neck: C-shaped maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Maple fingerboard is in good shape, with some cracks in the finish from the refret. Unoriginal frets are in great shape with lots of life. Headstock sports a bullet truss rod & dual string trees. F-stamped tuners work great. Neck is straight and plays awesome up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: Original Seth Lover Wide-Range humbucker in the neck position (10.89k ohms) with replacement Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pickup in the bridge (17.06k ohms). 3-way switch has been replaced, but original is included in the case. Pots are original and date to ’73/'74. All electronics have been tested and work great.
Case: Original hard shell case included. One of the latches is broken, and one is missing the locking mechanism, but structurally it’s in good shape.
