Description

Condition: This guitar sounds gorgeous and is in excellent condition for being 40 years old! The pickguard and saddle have been replaced and there are only a few surface scratches and some small nicks and dings throughout the instrument. There is a small crack on the top near the bridge which has been glued but not cleated. It is holding together fine. There is some light finish wear along the edge of the pickguard. Original guard is included in the case. Our master luthier performed a heat press on the neck. The neck is now very straight and comfortable with great action. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with some heavier wear in the lower register frets. Frets still have plenty of life left in them. All parts are in perfect working condition.

Body: Double-bound body with a solid Sitka Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Ebony bridge with ivoroid bridge pins and a bone saddle. Black pickguard and multiple inlaid rings around the sound hole. There is an intricate wood inlay down the center seam on the back.

Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Nickel Grover tuners, 25.4” scale length.

Weight: 4lbs, 11.5oz.

Playability/Sound: This is a beautiful sounding D-28 with a great overall presence to its sound. The rosewood back and sides provide plenty of resonance and a nice high end. The body shape and size produces excellent volume and some lush overtones.

Case: Includes original hardshell case in good overall condition. Original guitar care booklet is included in the case.
