Description
What makes this guitar special: Super cool vintage vibe & in great shape for being nearly 40 years old. The bass shows off a beautiful patina & has been professionally set up by us with low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice condition overall with various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches, small finish chips & mild buckle rash. No issues with playability or sound.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black micro dot. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl triangle inlays. Original frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Nickel Schaller tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 33 1/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine. Action is low & plays great up & down the fingerboard.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid maple wings & top binding. Top-loading chrome tailpiece with adjustable saddles. Single-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Bass weighs 9 lbs 4.8 oz.
Pickups: Original Ric bass single coils. The original cover for the bridge pickup is included with the bass. Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. The original Switchcraft toggle switch was replaced, but is included with the bass. Mono & Stereo outputs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: The bass comes with an earlier-period vintage Rickenbacker hardshell case, which appears to date from the '60s. The case is in good condition, although the right clasp is broken & no longer closes.
