Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe with lots of character & that sweet '70s mojo. Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & weather checking. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but still have life in them. Multi-bound headstock with mother pearl diamond inlays. Gold Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with gold hardware. Much of the gold has worn off the tailpiece & saddles, but this adds to the overall look & character of the guitar. 3-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 1.4 oz. Nice weight for a mid '70s Custom & very resonant.
Pickups: Original Gibson Pat Number 'T-Top' humbuckers. The gold covers were removed quite some time ago. Bridge - 7.69K ohms; Neck - 7.49K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. The Rhythm pot is unoriginal, but the three others al date to '76. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
