Description
What makes this guitar special: Super cool, player's grade '76 Explorer with a killer vintage vibe & sound to go with it. Affordably priced & ready to rock with a pro set up from Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: A really nice road warrior - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & buckle rash. The guitar recently came to us with a headstock crack, which our own luthier professionally repaired. There's a hole between the two volume knobs from a previous coil switch. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with beautiful patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear, but there's still life in them. The original tuners were replaced with vintage mini Schallers made in West Germany. Limited Edition oval serial number decal on the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body. Original Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with gold hardware. Original single-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7 oz.
Pickups: Original Pat Number neck humbucker - 5.08K ohms; Later period Gibson USA bridge humbucker with exposed coils - 8.07K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '76 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included with a couple of added latches.
