The Olympic White finish has faded over the years, giving the color a very nice rich yellow hue. Cosmetic condition: Just how we like them, with all the right wear. Definitely used, but not abused. There are various nicks, chips, scratches, dents, and dings throughout the instrument, as well as some weather checking, buckle rash, and finish wear. The Olympic White finish has faded into a very rich yellow color, without the smoky smell! The original pickups have been replaced by a DiMarzio and Fender Lace Sensor jazz bass pickups, and there is some mild oxidation on the hardware. Overall, this beauty has a very cool player’s look, with a nice patina.
Body: Contoured double cutaway ash body in beautifully faded Olympic White finish with 3-ply black pickguard. Top-loading bridge with four individually adjustable barrel saddles. Bridge cover and pickup cover are missing.
Weight: 12lb, 1oz
Neck: Semi-chunky C-shaped double bound maple neck, with black side dots and mother-of-pearl block inlays. Fender open gear tuners are in full working order. 1 1/2" nut width, 34” scale length. Maple fingerboard is in great overall shape, with only a few signs of physical wear. Frets show signs of wear consistent with age, but still have a good deal of life left in them. Neck is straight, and truss rod functions as it should.
Electronics: Dimarzio single coil jazz bass pickup in the neck position (6.37K ohms), with Fender Lace Sensor single coil jazz bass pickup in the bridge position (5.55K ohms). Skirted black knobs, 2x volume, 1x tone. Pots date to '77.
Case: Original hard shell case included. Case shows some exterior wear, and sports some cool vintage decals.
