Description

What makes this guitar special: A gorgeous piece with an out-of-this-world patina and a classic vibe that encompasses all the reasons we love vintage guitars. This one was obviously well-loved and played thoroughly, and has all the character you’d expect from a go-to...the natural color has aged into a gorgeous caramel color, which beautifully highlights the flamed maple back. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Well-played and well-loved, with all the characteristic signs from years of usage. Various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish wear throughout the guitar, as well as some weather checking and visible oxidation on the hardware. The fingerboard binding has a handful of cracks and splits, and one section on the treble side under the 7th fret has been filled with a wooden replacement. The frets are pretty well worn, but still have a lot of life left in them, and though the fingerboard shows visible pitting in a few areas, the guitar is still a breeze to play up and down the length of the neck.

Body: Laminated maple hollow body with bound spruce top in natural finish with dual bound f-holes. Adjustable rosewood bridge with engraved golden Guild tailpiece and black pickguard.

Weight: 8 lb, on the dot!

Neck: Medium profile maple/walnut neck with black side dots and triangle inset mother-of-pearl block inlays. Double bound rosewood fingerboard is in pretty good shape, with some visible pitting in the first position, but nothing that really hinders playability. 1 5/8” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Bound headstock with gold Guild logo and gold Guild tuners, in perfect working order. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.

Electronics: Dual HB-1 humbuckers (Neck-7.11K ohms, Bridge-9.65K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and Guild tophat knobs, 2x volume, 2x tone, and 1x master volume.

Case: Unoriginal TKL hard shell case included.
