Cosmetic Condition: Typical wear & tear for a 40-year old guitar - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & some weather checking. The binding has aged nicely into a dark golden/caramel color & looks fabulous against the ebony finish. Overall the guitar has a cool, true vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays. Gold Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple top & multiple binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. 5-ply black pickguard & single-ply black jackplate. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 15.5 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal EMG active pickups. Bridge - 17.02K ohms; Neck - 16.29K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with repro "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
