Description
What makes this guitar special: A pre-Ernie Ball Sabre, with a ton of vintage flair, and awesome playability. The nitro finish has aged nicely, giving this piece a cool vibe, with just the right amount of checking. The neck is smooth and quick, and the dual humbuckers give a nice punchy sound, with plenty of tonal versatility offered by dual EQ switches. The ash body is warm and resonant, and save for one switch tip, this beauty is all original. It comes with a professional setup from CreamCity Music-so it’ll arrive ready to play right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Very good shape for its age, with all the right wear for a player-various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, chips, and scratches throughout the body, as well as a couple spots of buckle rash on the back that have penetrated the finish. Structurally sound with a gorgeous patina.
Body: Double cutaway contoured ash body in natural finish with 3-ply black pickguard and stainless steel Music Man bridge with individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 9lb, 15oz
Neck: Wide C shaped maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. Fingerboard edges show typical wear, but without any major dings. Maple fingerboard is in great shape up and down the neck, and while frets do show some wear, they have a ton of life left in them. 1 3/4" nut width, 34” scale length. Open gear tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should. Neck stamp reads August 28, 1979.
Electronics: Dual Alnico humbucking pickups with mini toggle switches (2x EQ, 1x pickup selection) and knurled chrome knobs (2x volume, 1x tone). Pots date to ’79 and all electronics are in full functioning condition.
Case: Unoriginal hard shell case included.
