Description
A super groovy player thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music. The smooth, comfortable neck has a tight connection to the solid alder body finished in classic sunburst. The split single coil provides a warm, rich tone that makes this gorgeous bass so much fun to play.
Cosmetic Condition: Good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Professionally refretted & frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-back nickel tuners work perfectly. The previous owner's social security number appears to have been scratched into a couple of the tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & has its original black tugbar. Bass weighs 8 lbs 11.1 oz - nice weight for a bass & very resonant!
Electronics: Original split single coil pickup with original chrome cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included - a bit rough, but serves its purpose well.
