Description

Aside from a professional body refin the guitar is 100% original & even includes the original sales receipts from Nov '68! Lightweight & exceptionally resonant, this is a super cool, true vintage beauty with a great vibe! Professionally inspected & set up so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Never abused & showing only good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a fabulous look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Slender profile maple neck with beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Single string tree & F-logo tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 3 DEC 67 B, so it's actually a late '67 early '68 based on the neck plate serial number, which is 213315.

Body: Solid ash body that was originally blonde based on the paint stick in the neck pocket. The body was professionally refinished some time ago in more of a '50s vintage white blonde & upon first glance you might not even tell it was refinished - an excellent job indeed & it really maintains the guitar's true vintage vibe quite well. The body has a nice weight to it & is very resonant. String-thru bridge with three adjustable saddles & original bridge cover included. 3-ply pickguard has aged beautifully into more of an off-white. There are no routes & the guitar weighs a delightful 7 lbs 5.1 oz.

Electronics: Original single coils with cloth wiring. Bridge - 6.21K ohms; Neck - 7.24K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. 3-way selector switch with black "top hat" cap. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original sales receipts!
