Description
An early Gibson Custom Shop Explorer finished in Ebony & loaded with a pair of killer sounding Dirty Fingers humbuckers. A real tone monster with a bad ass look. Delivered to your door with a pro set up from the experts at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: This was definitely someone's go-to guitar - lots of nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are four extra screw holes up near the truss rod cover, probably from a previous locking nut. Some of the larger chips in the body have some finish touch ups. Overall the guitar has a really cool, well-played look to it & a great vibe.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear & have tons of life in them. Gibson diecast tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid body finished in Ebony with 3-ply white pickguard. Stopbar tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 2.1 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Dirty Fingers humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 15.01K ohms. Neck - 15.24K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case has a replacement handle & the two outside latches are partially missing.
